Description
Anastasia Goodwin is a costume designer and educator currently based in Winona, Minnesota. With varied costume design, construction, and wardrobe credits under her belt in theatre and independent film, Anastasia is thrilled to be nurturing the next generations of theatre artists ready to meet the challenge of creating in a world filled with new ideas and persistent struggles, expanding boundaries, and possibility of global impact. Prior to teaching at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Anastasia’s field experience was centered around the Pacific Northwest, where she worked at Seattle Rep, Village Theatre, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, ACT, Arts West, Sound Theatre Company, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, and many others. Film credits include “Atomica”, Lynn Shelton’s “Laggies”, “Fifty Shades of Grey” (Seattle unit), among others. An immigrant from Russia, Anastasia holds a BFA in Technical Theatre from the University of Central Missouri and an MFA in Theatrical Design: Costume from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has had several articles published in the USITT Northern Boundary Section newsletter. This past October, Anastasia was one of the finishers of the Twin Cities Marathon.
