Brad Steinmetz is associate professor of scenic design and technology at The Ohio State University. His designs have been produced around the country, off-Broadway and in the UK. His work has been recognized regionally by the American College Theatre Festival, nationally by USITT, and internationally by World Stage Design.

Brad’s research and practice examines theatre architecture, interdisciplinary fields, unconventional performance technology and new works, including designs for more than two dozen world premier productions. He has collaborated with diverse artists such as director Marianne Weems, scenographer Jaroslav Malina, sculptor Malcolm Cochran, and architect Tim Lai. He is also a founding member of the For/Word Company where he serves as resident designer.
