Description
Liz teaches Design for Theatre and Film at the University of South Florida. She has been an Artist in Residence at Yale, MassMOCA, and Bard. Her twenty years of design credits include Juilliard, La Mama, Mabou Mines, Big Apple Circus, and Lincoln Center, AMC, MTV, VH1, and PBS. She was the Associate Designer for the original Broadway production of Avenue Q. Her designs have been showcased at the Prague Quadrennial and the Kennedy Center. In her fashion work, Liz implemented small batch manufacturing and recycling technology for a nationally distributed clothing line (Team Chipmunk). Her designs have been commissioned by corporate clients like Marriott, United Way, and the US Open. Her work incorporates design thinking, entertainment technology, and the study of dress. She is the recipient of an Arts of Citizenship award from the state of Michigan, and received commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives for her work. She has an MFA in Design from NYU.
