Description
Tyler A. Berg is a first-year graduate student in sound design at Purdue University. He carries a strong background in music composition, recording engineering, and live sound system design. He is currently a Student Member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology and a supporting member of the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association.
Tyler worked widely in Arizona as a sound designer and engineer for several companies, including Arizona Repertory Theatre and Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre, before moving to Indiana. He was also the Resident Sound Designer/Engineer for Arts Express, where he collaborated on over twenty productions. Tyler has worked nationally with companies such as Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre during their summer festival, serving as Lead Sound Engineer and Touring Sound Designer in 2019. Recent design credits include: Something Rotten!, A Chorus Line, The Fantasticks, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and Romeo & Juliet.
This summer, Tyler will travel to Logan, Utah to serve as Sound Designer and Production Sound Engineer for the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre.
